Kanching Hutan Lipur Waterfall

Kanching Waterfall @ Taman Hutan Lipur

On 29-Aug-2015, we went to Kanching Waterfall. It's located in between of Selayang and Rawang.
By using the waze, you can type Kanching waterfall / Taman Hutan Lipur.

This waterfall got around 8 waterfalls. As you go along you will check out the waterfall. It's really chilling there and not hot at all. A lot people will come here for picnic as  there are a lot waterfall spot. If you going on public holiday, don't need to worry that too much people stay on the same waterfall.

However, i suggest go earlier if is public holiday. If you reach around 7am there and start hike, then, you can choose the spot you like for picnic.

For Kanching Waterfall, the difficulty level is easy - moderate. We used 30mins to reach the biggest waterfall spot. We used further 15 mins to reach the highest peak of the waterfall spot.

From the entrance to the biggest waterfall spot, you will pass by 7 waterfall spot, all the way is just staircase and normal route. Only if you want to go up to highest peak, then you need to get ready, because it's all the way up and it's ACTION hike up.

As a reminder, all the way up from 1st waterfall to 4th waterfall, there are a lot monkeys around. As so far, we don't see any monkey come to grab our things or food. But still you will never know. Thus, please keep your things well.

Another thing is when you parking in, there is a fee to be collect.

Per Car - RM2.00
Per Person - RM2.00
Subject to GST.

You can get the receipt from the uncle.

Here's the picture for you to enjoy :)

Entrance of the Kanching Waterfall.

At the entrance, you will see this. But too bad, they cant talk.

From here, walk in lur!!!

You will see this, but yet there are still a lot rubbish around.

Let's start the hike now.

That's what i found interesting. The mother of nature :)

!st staircase to hike up.

We found the 1st waterfall.

Continue up up up to 5th waterfall.

We did pass by 4th waterfall, but we didnt take the pic from front view.

Back view of 4th waterfall.

That's the 5th waterfall. Another picnic spot.

We did not take a picture on 6th waterfall, because when we saw the biggest waterfall, we stuned.
We never think that in Malaysia still can find this kind of waterfall. But maybe my picture doesn't look awesome, you need to feel it by your own.

I shall bring DSLR to capture the awesome scene.
7th Waterfall.

Biggest waterfall of Kanching Waterfall.

Although this is the biggest waterfall, but the highest peak is not here. Those that feel tired ady, they can actually rest on this spot or a little bit up there.

However, those want to explore more. Let's go, you will never regret because it's action time.

You wont be lost, because all the way up there is arrow to guide you.

Spot the Arrows.

We need to climb up up up.

Pointing meeee!!

The water really super chilling, all the way hike up you will see different spot of waterfall.
Before that, i always think how's the highest peak of the waterfall look like? How the water come out? hahahha.

Now i finally know!!!
The peak of the waterfall.

Anyway, when we hike down, it's almost 10am, and the people starting to be more and more crowded. But still you dont feel pack because there are too many waterfall spot.

Monkey is resting like a boss.

Please do enjoy the feel of our nature, you will get  the different feeling, fresh air and also feel more fresh to yourself.

Puchong Hill, Ayer Hitam Forest Reserve

Puchong Hill, Taman Wawasan

Ding Dong, yoohoo!!! Quite some time i didn't update my blog.

So today I'm going to update a little bit about Puchong Hill, which also called as Ayer Hitam Forest Reserve in Puchong.

First of all, this was around 3-4th times i went to hike in Puchong Hill. Why I love to hike in Puchong hill?

Reason 1:Not Easy to be lost
It wont be lost, because Puchong Hill is a circle hill, no matter how you walk, you will get back in the same entrance.

Reason 2:All Day Hike
All day, all time, morning or afternoon, also got hikers around. Because this hill is full of tall trees, thus, it's not hot inside, even sometimes raining also couldnt feel it.

Reason 3:Easy-Moderate level(2hours hike)
It's not a difficult hike, it's suitable for kids till old age people. I don't lie, because all the way you hike, you will see kids, young, teenages, old, tall, short, fat, leng zai, uncles, aunties hiking in this hill.

Reason 4:Puchong Hill is well maintained
There is a club in Puchong just for the purpose to maintain this Ayer Hitam Hill, thus, it's really clean and nice route to walk.

Where is the Puchong Hill located?

WAZE - Type Puchong Ayer Hitam / Taman Wawasan Puchong
Google Map -

In Puchong Hill, there got two route to go with. When you reach Taman Wawasan, you will see a lot hikers over there, everyone start with the same entrance point, thus, if you are the first time hike, you can follow the big gang of people. Or you can ask around the uncles/ aunty, they will teach you the way.

Do not scare of lost, because all the way you hike, you will see hikers in and out. Thus you will definitely won't lost in this hill.

However, i suggest you that reach there by 7am, because if you reach after 7am, no lie, no parking and you need to park 1km away from the entrance point. haha. So you can imagine how many people go there hike.

Ok, let's back to topic.

Today i tried two routes one shot. Because i want to see how far i can did :)

Not dissapointing you guys. I managed to did it!!! And also break my own record, 2 hours hike for two routes.

Trail 1: 7.45am-8.53am (From Car Park -> Peak -> hike down)

Real Crowded for Sunday Morning.

Entrance Point

Will go through a bit uphill, but not a problem

Continue walk up up up.
Will Pass Through a bit of mud rock here.
After you pass through the mud rock, you will come to the real starting point, which left and right you also can go with. The trail 1 i mention is the right hand one, the white guys standing there. It's shorter, I suggest go up by trail 1, come down by trail 2, it's good enough.

Trail 2 to Peak is longer than Trail 1 also difficult than trail 1 as Trail 2 has up down hill, while trail 1 only the last stretch is uphill.
From here i took the right turn as my trail 1.
You will see this sign board, means you are in the correct trail. Just Follow the crowded.

As i mention, there is a club of people that maintain this hill, you can see the result all the way when you hiking.

It's real clean!!!!

A bit of downhill.

This is the last stretch, all the way up to peak.

Should have around 20 degree uphill, it's just take your own slow pace.

When you see this big tree, yeah yeah, you are on the right track.

Alomost reach!!!

Can you see the bunch of people!!!! That's the peak.

ALthough the peak nothing much to see except trees, but all you get is Sweat, Release!!!
I use 35 minutes from car park to peak with trail 1.
Hike down by Trail 2.

No entry so turn left!!

This already fall on the floor!!!
Trail 2: 8.53am - 9.56am (From Starting point - peak - car park)
From here i take the left route as my Trail 2.

Keep Walk straight and you will found another split point, turn to right side and start your hike.

Peak!!!
Trail 2 is longer than Trail 1, and as the pictures shown, it's more up and down hill. I used 45 minutes to reach the peak. 10minutes longer.

Hike down using the Trail 1.

Using Trail 1 to hike is easier, because the only difficult part is the steep part from peak, after that stretch, then no more challenging!!

If got the Blue sky, yoou can have better view on Puchong State.

This is the entrance point!!
That's a little bit about Puchong Hill, hope it does help you guys and anything you want to re-confirm, leave you comment and I will get back to you :)

Today Thought:
When a human is stress on work, on anything, any problem that cannot solve, come over to sweat, you will find the difference. :)

Do not give up in any circumstances, because if you give up on yourself, no once can help you.

Cheers,
